Bashar Barakah Jackson (July 20 1999 - February 19, 2020) popularly referred to under the term Pop Smoke, was an American singer and songwriter. Victor Victor Worldwide, Republic Records and Bashar Barakah Jackson were his recorded labels. The popularity of Pop Smoke grew when he worked alongside UK producer of drill 808Melo Axl Beats (UK) and Yoz Beatz (UK). Welcome to the Party was the debut single off his mixtape debut Meet the Woo, which he released in July 2019 The remixes to the song Welcome to the Party were done in August by American rapper Nicki Minaj and British musician Skepta. Pop Smoke's first mixtape Meet the Woo was released by Pop Smoke in April 2019. The song Welcome to the Party is the title track. In August 2019 the track was remixed two times, one with Nicki Minaj featuring and another with Skepta. The song stands out because of the inclusion of UK drills, a technique that was to be found throughout all his discography. This is due to his numerous collaborations as well as 808Melo (a British drill production company). Some of his most well-known tracks are Mpr Flexin and Dior.
